People ask "why not use an RSS widget instead?"
An RSS widget is an automatic "What's new" system, suitable for showing all latest items from a predefined source (e.g. a blog, or a group of blogs), while CCN is more like a "favorite" or "micro-posting" system (similar to http://del.icio.us or http://ma.gnolia). If you want to hack something up with existing widgets, try something based on such a service
CCN identifies right-to-left (RTL) content and handles it well, which is important if your campaign contains Hebrew (coming soon: Arabic an other RTL languages) as well as LTR content (e.g. English)
It was designed for campaigns, making sure attractive graphic content can be shown, but not by default (so that it doesn't clash with the containing sites)
If the server is yours, you can customize the code to your needs. As opposed to prefab widgets, your widget can be unique and suit your needs best
